Practice News Update:
January 2012 – Dave and Duc on tour! Drs. David Ng and Duc Le are hosting meetings with optometrists in the Greater Toronto Area to speak about the latest advances in the treatment of ocular surface disease. They are coming to a town near you!
August 2011 – We welcome Dr. Alex Hui to our office. Dr. Hui is accepting new patients for Saturday appointments. He has extensive training in the area of eye disease. He is a published author who is completing his Ph.D in contact lens materials for drug delivery.
Feb 2011 – Dr. Lam attends the International Low Vision Conference in KL, Malaysia
Mar 2011 – Dr. Lam speaks at CNIB low vision continuing education seminar for optometrists
May 1, 2011. We have completed the expansion of our office. We are at the same location but have doubled in office space. The new additional space will allow us to improve patient care. We had added an imaging room for our glaucoma patients, a full service lab to provide same day eyeglasses and emergency repairs, and a conference room for patient educational seminars.
On April 6, 2011 the Ontario Government approved regulation expanding optometrists capabilities to include prescribing medication for eye related conditions such as bacterial eye infections and allergies to more serious diseases like glaucoma. All of our Doctors were fully board certified in anticipation of these changes and look forward to providing comprehensive eye care to all of our patients.
Our office continues to be part of the University of Waterloo, School of Optometry externship program. All of our doctors tirelessly volunteer their time and resources to help train the future eye doctors of tomorrow.
