Dr. Ng grew up in the Bayview and Sheppard area. After graduating from York Mills Collegiate, he continued his studies at the University of Waterloo where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in 1991 and his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1995. Dr. Ng completed his internship at the Eye Foundation of Utah and at Salt Lake City University Hospital receiving extensive training in the treatment and management of eye diseases.
He began practising in 1995 as an associate optometrist in downtown Toronto. In 1997 Dr. Ng moved to Cincinnati, Ohio to practise primary care optometry and further his experience with therapeutic treatment of eye diseases.
Dr. Ng returned to the Bayview and Sheppard area in 2000 to open his current practice. Dr. Ng is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor and guest lecturer at the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in the area of contact lenses and primary care. Dr. Ng continues his dedication to education serving as past Chairman of the Student Liaison Committee of the Ontario Association of Optometrists. He is also actively involved in contact lens research and clinical investigations. Dr. Ng is fully trained in laser co-management and is affiliated with TLC. He is active within his church and in his community. He lives in the area with his wife and two sons.
